My Professional Journey

My professional path began with humble roots in basic PHP and WordPress during my early internships. This foundation provided me with a solid understanding of web development, and I quickly advanced to more sophisticated projects.

As I honed my skills, I took on more significant roles, working on large-scale applications aimed at improving public health infrastructure. These projects were complex and required meticulous attention to detail, especially in areas like data security and system integration. My ability to unravel these complexities and convey clear solutions to my team led to my promotion to a leadership position. Here, I found a new passion for mentoring and guiding my colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Leadership and Innovation

Currently, I serve as the Backend Lead for a prominent project within the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport. In this role, I have been fortunate to lead a diverse team, driving the development of robust and secure applications. My responsibilities span from stakeholder meetings and project planning to hands-on coding and optimizing backend systems. One of my proudest achievements has been mastering the complex and niche domain knowledge of HL7 FHIR and healthcare interoperability standards at an impressive pace. My ability to understand these standards and effectively explain them to my colleagues has been instrumental in our project’s success.

My knack for tackling uncharted territories became particularly evident when I joined projects without prior domain knowledge. Despite the initial challenge, I swiftly adapted, diving deep into the specifics and emerging as a key resource for the team. This ability to learn and adapt quickly has been a cornerstone of my career, allowing me to contribute effectively to any project I undertake.

Versatility in Technology

While the TALL stack is my primary choice for development, I am also comfortable working in various other languages and technologies. I have experience with Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, which allows me to adapt to different project requirements and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. This versatility has been invaluable in tackling a wide range of technical challenges and delivering high-quality solutions.

Entrepreneurship and Collaboration

In addition to my professional roles, I founded Up2Day, a venture where I manage various client projects from start to finish. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, as it has sharpened my skills in client communication, project management, and technical leadership. Recently, I started collaborating with other freelancers, taking on the role of tech lead. This collaboration has enriched my perspective, enabling me to prepare complex technical solutions and manage project planning and task distribution efficiently.

My formal education in software engineering, combined with practical experience, has equipped me with a robust skill set. From building a Discord clone with real-time video and voice calls to developing systems for real-time data collection, my projects have always pushed the boundaries of what is possible.
